Khumbu Intl. Library: Namche Bazar

As a part of The Sherwi Khangba Centre The Khumbu Intl. Library is situated in Namche Bazar, which is the main village in the Mt. Everest region of Nepal. The library intended to house books, magazines and videaos covering all aspects of the Worlds Mountains, not just mountaineering and the Himalayas, but reference works covering every continents and from every Mountain region of the World. Books on expeditions, biographies, guides, historical accounts, the flora and fauna and the geographical and geological features of the World with the people, their culture, history and the early explorations. The library will be open for all the International schoolers as well as to the local people on a token of fee or deposit. We have some 800 books and magazines which are not enough and we need assistance. Donations of books and financial help to buy books are most apriciated.

How to Help:

1. Be a part of the team building the first library situated in the heart of the Himalayas.
2. All the books on above subjects are welcome in any languages preferably in English.
3. Deliver to Khumbu Intl. Library. The Sherwi Khangba centre Namche Bazar, send with visiting friends, we will arrange pick up or post it to our postal add. below.
4. All the contributed books will have your name inside the front cover with date, financial contribution to book purchase, name of the donor will be placed in the puchased book.
